A lot of fresh graduates yearn to get job offers from International institutions and Non-Government Organisations; this was not the case for the Identical twin sisters who opted to settle for a school where their father is the proprietor.

Dr. Sanyu Nalunga a Pediatrician says ‘’ Identical twins have a capacity of doing the same thing nearly at 100% because they come from the same Genetic makeup.
The twins in question are Nakato Brenda Namagembe and Babirye Namukwaya Meble, who are both graduates with a bachelor’s degree of Arts in Education from Makerere University.
Nakato is the Head teacher while Babirye is the Director of Studies at Kanyange High School-Kagoma and they both teach History and Christian Religious Education which they both majored in at University.

Brenda notes that ‘’ well at a tender age, we all wanted to become judicial officers and maybe control  the court rooms but later on, my dad  established a school and influenced us to join the teaching line’’ adding that that they were having leaderships abilities too.
‘’To some extent right from our primary level, we both loved being leaders, and we had leadership positions in our secondary school. But our ability to manage these positions so well assured us that we might be having the same abilities since we are twins already. We tried the positions at the advanced level and indeed, we did great.

Additionally Meble said that ‘’we proved this while at the university when there were times when we all got the same marks in exams yet each had sat in a different  block. This alone confirmed the similar abilities that were in us and doing those in leadership roles excellently pushed us to accept  the leadership positions in the school we lead now’’

Both Namagembe and Namukwaya went through Hidden Treasure Primary School for Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), before having Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advance Certificate of Education (UACE) from St-Gerald High School- Kagoma.

Babirye says that ‘’the staff at school lacked transparency and almost made the school collapse. My father then fired them and transferred the school to the other side of kagoma. (Lukadde) then told us to study education and be able to manage his school. We did well at the university and started teaching History and CRE before we became the school leaders.
She adds that though we lost a lot of staff, we are glad we have so many achievements in the few years we've been at the school. The two have spent five years now teaching.

‘’We started teaching while in our first year at the university. We studied as we taught at school. That helped us a lot because by the time of internship in second and third year, we had a lot of experience in the teaching part. Says Nakato.

However Nakato says connotes that ‘’I faced a challenge of teaching older students, they always failed to give me attention yet you couldn't beat them because i saw them as my older siblings.’’ While Babirye says ‘’ time just became limited since we had to rush and teach students yet we also had to catch up with the lectures at the university. Traffic jam was too much to an extent that we sometimes reached the lecture room when the lecturer was moving out. Nevertheless, that did not lower our grades in class because we always consulted our friends who always explained whatever we were supposed to know.’’

Nakato cautions the youths to work hard, be creative and always love to learn. Whenever you know a lot of things, there is a way you can thrive in this life. Never to under look jobs and opportunities because  if we had only refused  to work freely  at Kanyange high school, we wouldn't be where we are because  we would not  have the experience that made us score highly  in our final exams at the university.

Relatedly,  Babirye opined youths to be creative, not to over depend on family wealth for their future but rather to work hard because that wealth could disappear in no minute.
‘’Despite the fact that our dad had a school, we also applied for jobs elsewhere. Fortunately, a number of Non-Government Organizations and international schools called us for jobs though we decided to teach at Kanyange. Let the decision come from a number of opportunities but not one. Choose to do your own thing and you will be successful.’’

The twins, now aged 25 and are daughters of Mr. Makumbi Edward and Mrs Nakiyinji Justine of Kagoma, they are in the fifth position of eight siblings.

Kanyange high school is located at Kagoma- Lukadde along Bombo road in Wakiso district. The school has hands on co-curricular activities to enable students become be job creators rather than job seekers. To achieve this, the school has a model farm for goat rearing, poultry and Rabbit keeping among others were students are engaged into practical entrepreneurship skills during their free time.
